Description
The Tibetan crystal market in McLeod Ganj was unlike any market we had ever walked through.
Every stall carried stones brought down from Himalayan mountains — placed on cloth for people to hold and choose. The monks we had spent the day with had told us something we couldn't stop thinking about: these stones are not decoration. They are carried. Each one chosen for what it protects, what it heals, what intention it holds.
We walked stall after stall, picking stones up, putting them down. Every colour of McLeod Ganj was in those trays — monastery purple, valley green, golden citrine light, the monk's earthy tones, glacier river blue, morning pink.
Critika held up a stone and looked at me. I already had five in my hand.
We didn't plan eleven stones. We just couldn't stop. Every time we tried, one more felt like it had been waiting for us.
The Offering is everything McLeod Ganj gave us. Every colour. Every moment. Nothing held back.
