On the train to Delhi I had no seat, no food, no plan.
A group of travellers made space for me beside them. People I had never met — who had no reason to care — fed me from their own food, sang, laughed, and made a twelve hour journey feel like an hour. By the time Delhi arrived I understood something I couldn't fully explain: the most generous people are often the ones the world has given the least to.
In McLeod Ganj a shopkeeper left his entire stall to take me to the best restaurant in town — ten minutes after meeting me. He just trusted.
Everyone we met on that trip was carrying more than they showed. Not lost. Looking. Moving through the world with open hands.
