The Pearl Diver– Cristical

As children we believed rivers held pearls. We would go to the river in summer, dive into the deep parts searching, and always come back with only river grass tangled in our hands. Never the pearl.

This necklace is made from stones the colour of that river grass the exact deep green we pulled up every time instead of what we were looking for. But this time, the pearl is there. Right in the middle. Where it always should have been.

Because the pearl was never in the river. It was in you. In the years of searching, refining, becoming. This necklace is for the person who kept going back to the river until they were ready to find it.
